Buy-a-Brick Campaign

Our mission has always been to offer educational trainings, but we have never had adequate space to offer in the past. We would like to change that in 2023. Donors like you can help us make this a reality.

For as low as $150, you can be a part of our “Training for Tomorrow” project. Just choose a message to be laser engraved on one of the bricks helping build our new training room.

The “Training for Tomorrow” campaign supports the buildout of two private offices and a training room for educational workshops.
The donor brick wall will be permanently displayed in the new training room.

If you have any questions, please Contact Us.

Our goal has been met. Thank you!

The Bert Coble Singers

The renowned Bert Coble Singers have a long history of giving.

For the last 31 years a group of very dedicated, volunteer, musicians have come together in September to begin preparing a special Christmas musical performance. The Bert Coble Singers Christmas program has become a tradition for the community to come together and enjoy beautiful songs of the season, as well as support some very worthy causes, at the same time.

The Bert Coble Singers have made contributions to Cumberland University, non-profit organizations, and local charities for many years. Derived from the proceeds of the Bert Coble Singers’ popular Christmas Dinner performances, these gifts help to provide assistance to local community programs and organizations, as well as benefiting Cumberland’s H. Bert Coble Endowed Scholarship, which supports exceptional music students. Check out the maid effect site.

An accomplished music instructor and director, Dr. Coble built and oversaw Cumberland’s music program as a professor, choir director, and chairman of the music department from 1972-1988. A music instructor and teacher in her own right, his wife, Sue Coble supported him in that endeavor.

The Bert Coble Singers formed after Dr. Coble retired from Cumberland University, the same year they hosted their first Christmas show. Ms. Jennifer Perry, the current Choir Director, began her tenure as Director in 2012 and has continued the spirit of giving back. Her work reflects a tradition of giving by Dr. and Mrs. Coble, longtime benefactors of Cumberland.

This year, the Bert Coble Singers will be raising funds for the Bert Coble Music Scholarship, Empower Me Center, and the Wilson County Community Help Center. In the past, the annual, charitable Christmas Dinners have generated over $150,000 for organizations such as the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society, as well as forming the Bert Coble Scholarship some years after the group was established.
