Thrift Merchandiser – Job Description

The Thrift Merchandiser will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Clean and display thrift merchandise on shelves in appealing manner to boost sales.
  2. Clean and display seasonal items in proper location.
  3. Manage any volunteers in thrift area as assigned by Operations Manager.
  4. Empty carts with thrift merchandise in a timely manner and display in proper locations.
  5. Update items that need to be recycled.
  6. Use exceptional customer service when interacting with customers.
  7. Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be required or assigned by the Operations Manager or Executive Director.

Qualifications

  1. Ability to relate to a wide variety of individuals.
  2. Ability to speak, read, and write clearly.
  3. Must be able to lead by example, with a spirit of teamwork and not hierarchy.
