The Wilson County Community Help Center created in 1988 was established with the vision and support of area churches. The objective of the Help Center is to provide food, clothing, household necessities, and financial assistance for utilities, gasoline and prescription drugs for individuals in need in our community, along with Ensure for our elderly and cancer patients. It was also established as a clearing house for area churches.
The Help Desk is available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM.
(Examples of Proof of Residency would include: Current mail with applicant name within the last 30 days – Current voter registration – Referral from school, church or shelter)
(You will need a copy of your past due bill. This bill must be in the same name as the applicant or spouse name. If different than this then a letter of explanation is required)
(You will need a written prescription from physician. If applicant is unable to pick up then a note will be needed giving authority to pick up)
(You will need your appointment card with the date of the appointment, the physicians name and phone number so that a call can be placed to confirm the appointment. A secondary phone call to confirm that the appointment was kept will be placed and further assistance will be subject to cut off if this appointment is not kept)
(Our food box is non-perishable items in the form of dried goods and canned goods so please consider your dietary restrictions)

(This service is provided once per lifetime per family and is subject to availability)
(This service is provided to Wilson County residents that have experienced a loss due to house fire. We will provide, upon the provision of a fire report, free clothing, furniture and households good at no cost to help restart and ease financial burden. A special provision for MTEMC members may be available with proof of membership within an immediate notification to us of your fire loss)
