Pantry Coordinator – Job Description

The Food Pantry Coordinator shall be directly responsible to the Operations Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Receiving food donations at Help Center.
  2. Picking up food donations from outside sources.
  3. Weigh in and log donations by donor.
  4. Check for out of date, rust, or dented items.
  5. Place donations on shelf according to Help Center guidelines.
  6. Weekly spot check food pantry for perishable food needs and procure what is needed.
  7. Continuous inventory and organization of food pantry items.
  8. Prepare food boxes per Help Center guidelines.
  9. Assist client in fulfilling food pantry request, obtain required signatures, and file completed papers.
  10. Reconcile daily food box distributions with front desk log.
  11. Complete monthly report of food pantry donations and distributions.
  12. Manage volunteers as assigned by Operations Manager.
  13. Other duties and responsibilities as may be required or assigned by the Executive Director or Operations Manager.

 

Qualifications

  1. Must have excellent personal skills with the ability to relate with a wide variety of individuals.
  2. Must have the ability to speak, read, and write clearly.
  3. Strong detail and organizational skills.
